At Nowlan Jewellery Co., we take pride in our custom design process. We work closely with our clients to bring their unique vision to life. Whether it's an engagement ring, a special gift, or a personal indulgence, our team is dedicated to creating a piece that resonates with individual style and sentiment.

DESIGN & CONSULATION

Every custom piece begins with a personalised design consultation at Nowlan Jewellery Co., where your ideas and inspiration take shape. During this phase, we sit down with you to understand your vision, lifestyle, and design preferences. Whether you're crafting a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, designing matching wedding bands, restoring a sentimental heirloom, or creating something entirely new — this is where the journey begins.

We offer four tailored appointment types to suit your needs:

  • Engagement Design Appointments

  • Double Wedding Band Appointments

  • Restoration Appointments

  • New Custom Jewellery Design Appointments

Our expert team will guide you through design possibilities, suitable materials, gemstone options, and structural considerations, ensuring your final piece is not only beautiful but made to last.

  • Share Your Inspiration

    Bring along any references that reflect your style and vision, such as:

    - Screenshots or photos of jewellery you like

    - Colours and shapes of gemstones you love (or dislike)

    - Preferred precious metals

    - Existing jewellery you’d like to reuse or incorporate

  • Collaborate With Our Designers

    Sit down with one of our skilled designers for a personalised consultation. This is your opportunity to talk through your ideas in detail and discuss the story behind your piece.

  • Refine the Design

    We’ll offer expert guidance, practical suggestions, and creative ideas to enhance your original concept. This may include design adjustments for wearability, strength, and overall aesthetic.

DESIGN CONCEPT & MODEL

During this phase, our team uses advanced CAD software to create a detailed digital model of your custom piece. From this, a 3D model will be printed for you to view at a follow-up design approval appointment, allowing you to see and feel the design in a tangible form before committing to production.

If adjustments are needed, our team will refine the design and provide a new 3D model for your review. Once the final design is approved, Nowlan Jewellery Co. will provide a formal quote for the completed piece.

If you decide to proceed, a 50% deposit secures the project, and with your final approval, we will move your design into the production phase.

  • Create the Digital Design

    Our team begins by creating a detailed CAD (computer-aided design) model of your custom piece, allowing for precise visualisation from all angles.

  • Print the 3D Model

    A 3D printed version of your design is produced, giving you a physical representation of the piece to examine in a follow-up design approval appointment.

  • Design Approval Appointment

    You’ll meet with us to view the 3D model, discuss the design in detail, and suggest any final changes.

  • Make Adjustments (If Needed)

    If refinements are required, we’ll update the design and provide an updated 3D model for your review before moving forward.

  • Final Approval & Quoting

    After final design approval, Nowlan Jewellery Co. will provide a formal quote detailing your design brief, selected stones, metal, and sizing. This offers one last opportunity to confirm you’re happy to proceed.

    - All involved parties must sign off on the quote to move forward.

    - Quotes are valid for 7 days and are subject to change.

    - A 50% deposit is required before any manufacturing or model work commences.

  • Move Into Production

    With your final confirmation and deposit, your unique design moves into the manufacturing phase, where our expert team brings your vision to life.

COMPLETION & COLLECTION

Upon completion of the jewellery piece, the Nowlan Jewellery Co. team will contact you to schedule a collection appointment. This appointment allows you to view and collect your new custom designed piece of jewellery. In this appointment our expert team will also guide you through any necessary care instructions.

PAYMENT PLAN

When considering our custom design service there is a structured payment process with three steps in place which allow you to split the cost over the design process.

Step One.

Design Consultation Payment

This payment covers the cost of your consultation booking, custom design, 3D model and any adaptations to designs created by our design team.

  • Payable when booking in for a consultation with our design team. 

  • This payment will be deducted off the total cost of the design if you choose to proceed. 

  • An individual fee will be applied to each new piece you wish to have designed.

  • Non-Refundable when consultation is attended. 

  • Refunds will only be provided if you choose to cancel and not rebook. 

Step Two.

Deposit

The deposit amount will be 50% of the quoted amount less the design consultation fee and will be required on all approved designs. 

  • Payable once signed copy of quote has been returned to us either in-person or via email and must be received by our accounts department prior to any work commencing.

  • Once paid there will be a cancellation fee of 50% once the quote has been signed and work has commenced.

Step Three.

Final Payment

This payment will be required on the completion of the piece and must be received prior to collection if paying via bank transfer. Otherwise, payment can received in store on collection.
